------------------±- Number One Combat training guide -±- ------------------
=========================================================

-±-My mission-±-
=============
Hi there, I'm 073hazzam, But you can call me Hazz
when prowling my home forum, Combat Skills, I find a lot of people asking ph*z0r phr33 t1p5 p10x 4 m1 5tr x

Well, these guides are no longer needed, as I intend to colaborate all these training tips all on one page - THIS IS ALL MY OWN WORK!

OK. here I am going to post the suggested setups for different levels.

DO PLEASE MIX UP BITS FROM FURTHER ON THAT YOU CAN AFFORD/FURTHER BACK THAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD

This all depends not on your strength level, but on your OTHER LEVELS

Beginner - 40 def/att

HEAD = Rune full helm
AMULET = strength amulet
CAPE = None/obby cape
ARROWS = None
WEAPON = Brine sabre - (Rune Scimitar)
BODY ARMOUR = Rune Platebody
SHIELD = Rune Kiteshield
LEG SLOT = Rune Platelegs/skirt
BOOTS = Climbing boots
RING = Of life
BRACELET/gloves = Best rfd gloves you have got to, or none.

Intermedite - 60 def/att

HEAD = Helm of neitsinot - (Berserker helm)
AMULET = strength amulet - (glory)
CAPE = None/obby cape
ARROWS = None
WEAPON = Dragon Scimitar - (Dragon longsword)
BODY ARMOUR = Rune Platebody
SHIELD = ASAP rune defender - (rune kite)
LEG SLOT = Dragon platelegs/skirt (Rune Platelegs/skirt)
BOOTS = Dragon boots/ Climbing boots
RING = Of wealth/of life
BRACELET/gloves = Best rfd gloves you have got to, or Combat bracelet

Advancing - 70 def/att

HEAD = Helm of neitsinot - (Berserker helm)
AMULET = Fury - (strength amulet) - ((glory))
CAPE = Skillcape/obby cape
ARROWS = None
WEAPON = FOR STRENGTH - D scim/sara sword/sgs
WEAPON = For ATTACK/DEFENCE - Abyssal whip - (dragon scim)
BODY ARMOUR = Fighter torso/barrows body/d chain
SHIELD = rune defender
LEG SLOT = Dragon platelegs/skirt (Rune Platelegs/skirt)
BOOTS = Dragon boots (Climbing boots)
RING = Of wealth/of life
BRACELET/gloves = Best rfd gloves you have got to, or Combat bracelet
Ha zzam

Level 80
HEAD = Helm of neitsinot - (Berserker helm)
AMULET = Fury - (strength amulet) - ((glory))
CAPE = Skillcape/obby cape

WEAPON = FOR STRENGTH - sara sword/sgs
WEAPON = For ATTACK/DEFENCE - Abyssal whip

LEG SLOT = Dragon platelegs/skirt (Rune Platelegs/skirt)
BOOTS = Dragon boots (Climbing boots)
RING = /Beserker ring - (of wealth)
BRACELET/gloves = Barrows rfd gloves -Best rfd gloves you have got to (Combat bracelet)

___________________________________________________________________________

-±-Choices explained-±-
================

Okay. This is how the above works (sort of like a key)

CAPITALS SLOT = the best thing to wear or use

after a slash (/) an equal/more or less equal thing to use

in one set of brackets (~!@#$%) This is something that is an accepted alternative but not recommended

In two sets of brackets ((!@#$%)) Really not recomended but better than nothing

____________________________________________________________________________

Why you should choose this (starting from the top)

Beginner - 40 def/att
#Rune armour - better defence than adamant so you save more food and hence more money and less time banking
#brine sabre. This is a weapon that is not well known. But, it is a better choice than a rune scimitar because of it's superior stats.
ATTACK STATS - STAB SLASH CRUSH STRENGTH
BRINE SABRE ____+7____ +47____ -2____ 46
Rune Scimitar ____+7____ +45____ +2____ 44

The two colums we need to look at are Slash bonus and strength bonus - slash is +2 more strength is +2 more. - why not?! The price however is 75k - 50k more than the scimmy.

Climbing boots - 1k price tag and +2 strength bonus = w00t
Ha zzam

Intermedite - 60 def/att

Neitsinot over beserker - gives slightly more bonusses, and is slighty cheaper. (needs a harder quest though)

Strength over glory - the 4 extra strength bonus makes more of a difference than the slash bonusses of the glory

D scim over d long - Scimmy has slightly more speed and a little more strength bonus/slash bonus - speed equals faster exp equals win!

Rune defender. For this you will need a total of 130 in attack and strength levels (65 in each or 70 strength 60 attack or any combination) It is really worth it for the positive bonusses to slash and again to strength.

________________________________________________________________________
70+ skills =]

Fury over strength amulet - it has only 2 less strength bonus, and much much much more slash bonus. This is worth it if you are loaded.

Now think about swapping from scim-defender combo to sara sword or sara godsword. Sara sword is my preferred weapon but some like to use the sgs (for healing) or just keep the scim/defender

Going to fighter torso/bandos - just going for more and more strength bonus

Dfs/rune defender - just superior in all stats =]

zerker ring over others - strength bonus - +4 worth 4m? your choice ( i don't use it)
Ha zzam

Here I am going to post some things you need to consider

*As you will have gathered, the main point in weapon/armour choice should be on getting the maximum Strength bonus and Slash bonus possible.

Things available to use

- super pots - use them! I always use them, get me at least 5-10k extra exp per hour

- special attacks - Dragon battleaxe - if you don't want to fork out for super potions, Sara godsword if you can afford to heal for longer camping slots =]

- Barrows armour sets

Dharoks in my opinion isn't worth it. It takes time to set up, you need to camp near an altar (ape atol monkeys is a possibility see later on) and if you die you run the risk of loosing 6m+ on just the helm.

Guthans, again, in my opinion isn't worth it UNLESS you are training defence. On average, 5% of the time takes up for healing with it (doesn't allways heal) so this is wasted time on controlled option, unless you can use the defensive mode as a tool for training.

* Prayer. If you are near an altar (see dharoks) utilise your strength/attack prayers - PEITY!

Stealing creation helms - these will get you double exp! (only do this if you have 50+ in wc fish and mine and 40+ fletch)

Play the minigame, and buy helms to replace the one you use. Each one lasts for 30k exp gained

Ha zzam

Right,

Level 60-80, places to train

Flesh crawlers - Still good (as above)

Combat - 25
Hitpoints - 100!

Agressive - no
Drops - nothing after quest

Pros - cons

Pros - These are ace, 400 exp per kill! They have low (probably one) defence, so are easy to hit

Cons - can't really think of any - it is sometimes a bit full but this can be solved with a bit of world-swapping
(NOT the indian worlds unless you want to go to lag metropolis)

xp per hour at level 90 combat - about 50k per hour

Ankou in the security stronghold

Combat - 75
Hitpoints - 60
Max hit on you - 8 - wear good armour
Agressive - sometimes
Drops - good -
5 to 19 Adamant arrows

Ranarr seed
Snapdragon seed
Watermelon seed
Grimy Ranarr
3 to 7 noted Mithril ore
Cooked Bass
Clue scroll (level 3)
Half of a key

Armoured Zombies

Combat - 85
Where - under chaos altar after defender of varrok
hitpoints - 85

Strategy - Head to Chaos altar (level 13 wilderness)
Gear should include D battleaxe, Prayer boosting gear with a decent range defence (veracs is good, using either flail or sara sword or d scimitar or sgs)Pray melee and peity. Go down the trapdoor, and get killing. When your prayer gets below 15 go upstairs and pray. Then repeat.

Why is it so good exp?

This is because you can use piety as there is an altar upstairs, the Dragon battle axe Special attack with a restore potion (or just using super strength potions) well as a Salve amulet (e). This gives total bonuses of +58% Strength, +40% Attack and +25% Defence

Drops.
- Nature/Cosmic/Death/Chaos/Blood Rune
- All the Charms
- Oak plank (5)
- Plank (9)
- Teak Plank (2)
- Pure Essence (3-15)

They also drop half keys, left halves, and champion scrolls, watch out for those!

Giant skeletons

Below Baxtorian falls, in the Desert treasure shadow dungeon (need ring of visibility)

Your account doesn't need very much looking after down there (with 80 defence and bunyip)
You can use salve (e)
You get a constant (pretty much) stream of auto-attack.

Drops - just ranarrs and level 2 clues that are any good

2 spots where they auto attack, by the door (well ghostly ladder) and about 5 cliks north-east of there. (in a baloon-shaped room)

Bandits, inventory and getting there

The Prayer method:
-1 emergency teleport(Ectophial,teletablet or Elf crystal);
-1 ring of dueling for teleporting to the duel arena(optional but very recomended);
-Dragon Dagger p++,Dragon mace or SGS(strongly recomended) for special;
-1 super set/3 combat potions;
-The rest of the inventory should be Prayer potions (4);
The Normal method:
-1 emergency teleport(Ectophial,teletablet or Elf crystal);
-1 super set(Super attack,defence adn strenght potions) OR 3 combat potions;
-1 ring of dueling for teleporting to the duel arena(optional but very recomended).
- Dragon Dagger p++,Dragon mace,Dragon battleaxe or normal excalibur for special;
-The rest of the inventory should be the best food you want to use (Shark/Monkfish/Lobster);

The Noted Food method:
-1 emergency teleport(Ectophial,teletablet or Elf crystal);
-1 super set,or 3 combat potions;
-1 ring of dueling for teleporting to the duel arena(optional but very recomended);
-Dragon Dagger p++,Dragon mace,Dragon battleaxe or normal excalibur for special;
-Noted food/potions,bring more if you want to stay more time;
-Money for re-buying the noted food/pots;
-The rest should be food;

The Guthan method:
-1 emergency teleport(Ectophial,teletablet or Elf crystal);
-6 super sets,or 18 combat potions;
-4 sharks for emergency food;
-1 ring of dueling for teleporting to the duel arena(optional but very recomended);
-Dragon Dagger p++,Dragon mace,Dragon battleaxe or normal excalibur for special;
-Guthan's warspear;
-Left 1 empty space for the shield,when you wield the Guthan's spear;
-If you prefer,bring noted super sets/combat potions,and money for re-buying them.In this case,bring 5 super sets/15 combat pots,and take noted pots.

Bandits are located at Bandit's Camp,in the Kharadian desert.There're not many ways to getting there.Here I'll put the most common ones:

-Using a Camulet to teleport to Enakhra's Temple,then walk north to Bandit's Camp.I recomend this method,because,since the entrance of Enakhra's Temple is near Bandit's camp,and you ned just one or none waterskins;
-Moving your house to Pollvneach,then using a House teleport tablet to get there,then take a carpet ride to Shantai Pass,then taking another to Bedabin's Camp.When you get there,just walk south,and you'll reach Bandit's Camp;
-Just walking from Shantai Pass.I don't recomend this,because you'll need lots of waterskins,that will take space from your inventory;
-Using a Pharao's Sceptre to teleport to the Pyramid,where you change normal magics for ancients.,then walk nortwest until Bandit's Camp;
-Using the Fairy's Rings System to teleport near the Khalpite Lair,then walking south.This also isn't recomended;

Healing familiars,like:
-Bunyip:This is the most useful one,in my opinion,because it heals you 2 hp each 15 seconds,what really helps if you have a razonable defence level;
-Unicorn stallion or elemental titan with healing abilities:These also are useful,but their use summoning points to heal you;
