| Found the document I was using which details a lot of the general mechanics for the two bosses and figured it might be helpful to allow some of the less skilled PvM'ers to understand how to do Raids so they don't get kicked for no good reason. Anyway, have a read of the following document: It's 15 pages long and a little thin on the ground for Durzag, but very detailed for Yakamaru (really helped me to understand how to do Yakamaru). https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IOaVOFwik4u0xxo6ZY-k7X-Zq68Z1vXZler5i0tPfIQ/editBeastmaster DurzagWill fill in when I have more info - it was a clusterfudge when I did it. YakamaruThe BattlefieldWhen you first enter, you'll be in the south west corner of the map. Run north to the very top to load the rest of the map (avoids some lag mid kill). The arena is laid out with 5 pools, the meaning of which we'll come onto later. Regular Attacks- Spoiler:
AOE Ranged - if there is nobody standing in melee distance of YM, this can hit everyone over 3700 damage. Damage is lower when someone is tanking in melee distance.
Magic Attack - used only on people within melee distance of YM.
Orange Jellyfish - has 50kLP and hits 1-3k per hit. These must be killed as a priority over YM. When they spawn, geysers will also appear which damage the jellyfish for 10k when over it, but also damage you for ~1700. Easier to stun and DPS the jellyfish.
Durable Jellyfish - these guys heal the other monsters for a small amount of LP.
Reflective Jellyfish - like mirrorbacks at Araxxor. Deflects damage dealt at surrounding jellyfish and back at you.
Piercing Jellyfish - Ranged minions
Magical Jellyfish - Mage minions
Blue Water - someone will turn blue as if they just used metamorphosis and begin taking damage. The person who is blue must stand next to someone else (like Vorago green bomb), passing the effect on.
The Fight- Spoiler:
Yakamaru will always begin in the eastern pool where the summoning energy can be seen. When he spawns, everyone must deal 200k damage to him, following which he will jump to a random pool, and from then on will cycle clockwise around. In each pool, YM will have 1,000,000 LP and will gain certain abilities (to be explained). Once YM is brought down to around 100k LP he will spawn poison (more below). Once he gets poisoned, players deal the remaining 100k LP, following which YM will jump back into the first pool where you deal a further 200k damage, and he will then progress to the next pool in the clockwise direction from where you last beat him.
The Poison- Spoiler:
In each pool, when YM gets to around 100k LP remaining green arrows will appear on the floor (like how when Verac ties your soul to a specific location in ROTS). You have roughly 5-8 seconds to run into these squares, absorb the poison and then run within melee distance of YM to poison him. Only one player should do this. Once poisoned, everyone else finishes off YM and he returns to the introductory pool in a poisoned state (you all deal double damage to him for a short time).
The player who poisons YM will wash up on the eastern beach unconscious, and another player must do CPR on them to recover (spam click on the player to revive). If nobody does this, the poisoned player dies.
The Pools- Spoiler:
This image helps provide an overview of the pools: Jellyfish Pool This pool is the first one YM will spawn in. During this pool, he will usually have 1,000,000 LP and will spawn a jellyfish in every one of the surrounding pools. YM will also summon jellies during the fight, so DPS'ers should focus on killing these while the tank and debuffers take care of YM. Tendrils Pool YM has 1,000,000 LP and will spawn smoke tendrils underneath some players (usually either the tank or the highest DPS player). The attack hits constant 2000s but can be dodged by moving off the square being tendril'ed. Sharknado Pool Another 1,000,000 LP and for this one YM will occasionally launch a large number of sharknados into the air. When this happens, everyone must wait for the nados to land on the ground once and then run/surge away to avoid damage. If you run before the nados land, they will follow you and mess you (and your teammates) up. This image shows where the boundaries are to avoid damage (roughly) Quicksand Pool 1,000,000 LP and this time YM will occasionally bury two players in the sand. To save them, another player must click on them to pull them free. You have around 10 seconds to save them, after which they die. Because most people will likely be close together and covered in death swiftness, it's helpful if you call out "stuck" or something to make it easier to spot who hasn't been saved yet. No Stun Pool YM has 1,000,000 LP and in this pool will increase his defence as the fight goes on. To reset his defence, one single player should use a stun ability on YM. Doing so causes him to deal 1000 damage to all players in the progress. Note that if more than one player uses a stun, he will hit 5k for each stun instead and can very quickly obliterate your team. Mirage Phase- Spoiler:
After you've taken out YM in each of the 5 pools, he'll jump back to the first pool once again. Take him down to 50k LP and then he will spawn a mirror YM in each pool. These YM's will all have their respective pool abilities and must all be kept in combat at the same time otherwise it will deal damage to the entire team.
Each mirage as 150,000 LP. The recommended order in which to beat the mirages is: Smoke Tendril -> Sharknado -> Sand Attack -> No Stun -> Final Middle Pool
Just before each mirage is taken out, a number of players with planks in their inventory (acquired from around the beach during the fight) must stand within melee distance of the pool. When each mirage is taken out, it will hover above the pool and players must board up the pool to defeat it. Please note that if you are not standing melee distance, or if you are too slow to board up the pool, the mirage will respawn with it's 150k LP again and you will have to fight it again.
Once you've boarded up all 5 pools, YM will return to the first pool once more for a final showdown with 150,000 LP, and then that's the end of the fight!
