mining is a boring skill

I think mining is a very boring skill and needs updating. Not just a new place to afk, there needs to be an active and fun way to train mining that isn't as repetitive as all the stuff that's been added in recent years.

as far as mining being boring, I'm not sure you'll find much support for new mining methods that aren't afk. lrc is not loved bc ppl love mining, its bc ppl want afk stuff (but really, ppl want to be able to play this game w/o actually interacting with it? this is the weirdest part of rs imo, how much ppl love to afk rs while doing something else)

back on topic, its not like mining is unique in this way. for many skills, leveling up doesn't change the way you train, only the location you do so at (eg. mining, div, rc, wc, fishing, thieving(ish if you do pp), agility, construction). as far as updating it goes, isn't the new elf city going to have some new stuff for mining?

Crashed stars are far too infrequent and bothersome to do in my opinion however. You need some silly telescopic contraption for which you probably need lvl 121 construction. In other words, I don't have one and I cba getting one.

Perhaps lrc monsters could be altered so that it was possible to fight them by mining them directly while in combat, not just after.

you need 40ish con or so for the low level one. 80ish for the best one.

Well, I do hope that the elf city brings something to mining But LRC updating wouldn't be bad either! It could be turned more into some kind of minigame!

Mining is one of the only fun skills in the game!
