Villi's gwd solo drop log

The results of the poll seem to be fairly unanimous. I'll get started on the sara guide later but for now I'll resume posting pictures. I will still be camping sara but I'm sure I'll get bored of that eventually and then move on to the other gwd bosses.

So a little over a week ago I decided to buy myself a Torva platebody and start soloing Saradomin. My goal was to get at least one of each of the new drops. Today I accomplished that goal. What follows are pics of some of the drops I got during this endeavour. Note: 1 whisper, 1 hiss, 4 swords and a couple of godsword shards are not included. The decision to start taking pictures was taken shortly after I started soloing at which point I had already gotten some drops.

How many did you have to kill?

I don't know the exact figure but assuming 1,5 drops per trip with 55-65 kills per trip... somewhere around 600 maybe?

The two whispers were 4 kills apart. On the same trip as them I also got the next thing on the very last kill.




The following drops were from one trip. In addition to what is shown I also received 2 saradomin swords which I did not deem worthy of taking a screenie of, 3 gs shards and an effigy.










As requested by someone I will also post what gear I use for soloing.



The torva can of course be substituted by bandos, steadfasts by dragon boots and a dfs could be used instead of ely. The aura I'm using is Aegis, which you should never ever buy. It sucks terribly and I regret getting it.

My method of soloing is heavily reliant on dreadnips. They often stun Zilyana during which time you can get off her and soulsplit on the minions. doing it quickly will allow for 5-6 hits with cls on minions before she becomes mobile again. This is a potential heal of up to 300-600lp per kill! Depending upon how many stuns you get.

ah this helps i might try this now, probably wont last as long as bandos but can still be sufficient

@Amy, I think its cls because she has a slash weakness now.

Personally I use cls because of its attack-rate. It's the same as that of the minions which makes it easier to soulsplit while still keeping a protection prayer up. Considering the very low magic defence of the gear I use there it's dangerous to not protect from mage even when it's just the minions left.
