Ventrilo!

I think it could be a good idea if Slayer Nest was able to have a ventrilo server for the nesters, obviously, no randoms allowed for they could spam the channels and annoy the hell out of everyone. Obviously, it is just an idea, for often I am bored, with not many people to talk to, and could be a way for our community to get to talk a bit more to each other as if we were true friends... I'm unsure how much sense that makes, but I hope you understand what I meant. It could also help for Slayer Nest dungeon teams...

I would prefer IRC, or teamspeak tbh. Teamspeak would be awesome as there are so many possibilities for it (a nest DJ wooo)

However i believe it costs money for both of them (except irc?)

I don't own any pures I have a lvl 3 f2p acc that I hardly use, just for fun, but that isn't the name.

Vent CAN be free, however the server is really small, and not really worth it, so yeah, a payer would be hard to come by. On your comment about a DJ, a music bot can be setup in Vent, my friend had one that was used in a server, it basically got its own channel and people could sit in the channel and listen to it for as long as they wanted. TS is basically the same, idk about the other one, never heard of it...

I just think it would be a good idea for slayer nest members to talk to each other on a different, and higher level then we already do

hmm I heard that these aren't safe though, but I wouldn't know.

May as well say nothing is safe.... I'm not 100% sure on how protect it is, can probably find out though.... It doesn't even have to be Ventrilo, it can be similar type things.

Alejandroo, nothing stopping you startting one up and see how popular it is.

I'll see, I might look into how to make my own, problem is, self hosted vent channels are really small, like 10 slots, and that I think I'd have to run my computer 24/7 to allow for others to join, unless I ran it to be used only when I'm on...

yea thats the problem.

Servers are only like £5 a month. But finding a person to do that, is going to be a problem.

I asked nest, and Masked said it is easier to use Skype.

I also googled it, and I can make a 8 slot server pretty easily... but really unsure if it would be worth it...

skype is better imo

In my opinion Skype is a bit shift... In the sense of hacking and what not, not saying Ventrilo can't have that problem also...
