Let us revisit the incident that started all of this in the first place.

To my recollection, I was politely asking someone not to call me a 'derp head' (which you so eloquently reminded me that it was not in fact 'retard')

You then proceeded to TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF to pm me about it to give me your UNSOLICITED input.

When I proceeded to inform you that I do not tolerate ableist slurs used against me, you saw it fit to inform me that I should grow a thicker skin and again TOOK IT UPON YOURSELF to call me a 'derp head' on your own.

At which point I ignored you.

Such casual bigotry has no place in Slayer Nest, especially in a rank that has a position of power over others. I am not going to tolerate it, and if you continue pursuing your vendetta against me, I will be leaving Slayer Nest.

It may behoove you to cultivate some empathy towards others and try to put yourself in another persons shoes, instead of looking at the world through what you would find offensive or not.

I don't go out of my way to correct any person using an ableist slur in the Nest to begin with, but I am not going to tolerate them in any form when used against me, either from a ranked or non-ranked FC member.

Sorry for coming into this expecting a discussion with an adult. You're on thin ice.

I will accept your apology and then you can decide to be a decent human being and not call people slurs, then I can take you off of ignore and this whole thing will be solved.

Serious question. Why does stuff on the forums warrant a kick from the FC? I think the pair of you have an issue with each other whether you want to admit it or not.

I have already made the more than gracious offer of accepting whatever apology he can muster up, then we can all put this behind us.

Except by doing that and acting entitled to one doesn't really help you out in anyway. It's clear you won't get an apology and I don't see why you want one so bad, it's the internet and I think both of you need to grow up a bit. It's up to you to have him on ignore and as a responsible rank that Conc should be I think he should take that into consideration. Ignore lists are there for a reason if you wish not to see what other people say. Conc I'd suggest you do the same and put Eco on ignore so all this bollocks can stop.

That is also a perfectly acceptable arrangement...

P.S. I know I'm not entitled to an apology nor do I expect one. It would be nice though, and it would be preferable to the double ignore. I dont hold any animosity towards him, and would prefer this to be settled amicably. I just don't tolerate disrespect like that.

Can I suggest that you both just add each other to your ignore lists and move on?

However, I would like to make one request to Eco:

I understand completely that you want to have your say and most of the time you're just chatting about whatever topic comes to mind, be it veganism, Yale or whatever else. However, I'd request that when you can see the discussion turning a bit heated, it might be good if you could exercise a little restraint of your own rather than continuing to let the discussion turn into an argument that results in a kick. Just my two pennies worth. s worth.
