Trouble brewing

Heya.

I'm not too experienced with the finer points of MineCraft. I figured I might as well ask here.

How exactly do I brew stuff? It'd be nice if someone could give me a brief introduction/crafting recipes. Not a whole guide just the gist of the process to get me started. I'm keen to make one of those invisibility potions so I can explore the Nether without getting pwned too much.

Brewing is awesome, in vanilla minecraft and in modded
with vanilla I found this graph super useful
the only tricky thing here is spider eye fermentation

as one must keep a healthy stock of spider foes and mushrooms around



in modded minecraft brewing can be automated to such an extent that combined with forestry you can be a near GOD (without cheating)
 *also can make some nice ales!
