Villi's gwd solo drop log

From yesterday. Technically the 2nd one isn't a solo but still. Happyface.

I did 3 nex solos while I was attending Runefest. One of which yielded a torva full helm drop. Unfortunately I was unable to screenie it due to being on a Runefest computer rather than my own.

I didn't really want to tamper with their computers too much. Also I had no idea where the print screen button would be on that exceedingly strange keyboard.

Yep. I and PrimalMoose met up and went around together for a bit. Runefest was really fun, lots of stuff going on at the same time. You had to choose which thingy you wanted to be at since it was impossible to catch everything.

They had in the vicinity of, oh I don't know, 30-40 computers available. 4 of them had the upcoming barrows update on them so a crowd gathered around those. I also got to see Mod Mat K go on an old-school pking spree with full bandos and infinite ags specs.

Personally I just use magic because I don't have any proper ranged gear. To be honest I have no idea if ranged or magic works better but magic is working fine for me.  




In other news I tried out 1 handed (left hand) nex solo again. 2 kills in a row both went fine. I'm thinking of trying a kill with just sharks instead of rocktails.

Yep. I'm not sure if I should be happy for the epic money or disappointed that in 53 items soloed I still haven't received all 18 unique ones yet.

Which unique items are you yet to find?

I am missing Torva boots and Pernix gloves.

Help me out: For what bosses (and roles) is full Torva useful?
(Haven't been to KK, Nex or Vorago yet - all others I have slain in the past)
I got dual Drygores, Yak, Ovls, Turmoil. Only missing some special combat Scrimshaws (I suck at PoP; but got 3 Tetsu laminat scrolls in 2 days - Skull region ).

I just want to know, because I've bitten the apple and bought it. Now want some ways to get the money back (for Pernix/Virtus sets), other than camping+slayer. Want to make use of my new (sxy) armour.

Just about every boss, with the exception of Kree'arra, and every role. I don't know anything about Vorago however. A shield may be needed for certain bosses/roles.

You can easily solo bandos with just soulsplit in torva with dual drygores, without having to use any food. Zammy or sara is slightly more difficult in that regard. I use a scrimshaw there to make no-food soloing easier.

The scrimshaw you'll be wanting to use is the vampyrism one. All the other ones are of no importance for this endeavour. The tradeable one will definitely suffice if you have yet to unlock the superior version.

More drops = more hats

I'll sure put Torva to the test; either with some camping or bossing.
Torva = power armour and Tetsu = tank armour?

I'm making quite some progress with Tetsu scrolls lately, although I won't be able to make any serious progress towards plate until last region (about 75% done with Skull one).

I still decided to keep my Bandos armour, and will be switching between them just to see how big the difference is

Hopefully soon enough I can join some Nex and KK trips and maybe make bank there
