Runefest

So yeah. I went to runefest 2011, and it was pretty cool. I was amazed at how many older people play, i thought it would be all teenages and children, but supprised when i saw there was probably 50% people over 21.

I think i was the only british person there aswell :p haha. So many foreigners and dedication to the game and stuff.

I met Merondon, hanged out with him pretty much all of the event which was nice.

The main sessions were intresting and wasnt bored at all during them. Favortite one would have been, ok i forgotten what is was, but it was Andrew, Paul and the guy with black hair having an interview.

Didnt get very many pictures, as forgot camara first day (when everyone was in costume), but i did put "Slayers Nest" on the board thing.

Some really good costumes, which im sure will be shown on www.runefest.com in times to come, my favorite would have been some guy in full Primal.

Umm cant think of anything else to put lol.

I had a lot of fun at Runefest, it was really awesome.

I can add some things that Wana missed (since he had to leave before the Runescape 2012 session)

Dominion Tower is a lot of fun, I didn't play for very long but it seems to be a great update, you get a new handicap after each boss you defeat like "no shield", "Less damage with melee", "no familiar" so it gets harder and harder to beat the bosses.

Bronze - Dragon armor + barrows is getting updated graphics and they look great, dragon armor in particular (ppl started applauding when they showed dragon armor)

Player Owned Ports (very very very early, just an idea so far so might not even be doable) - Would work like the kingdom but you pay for ships instead of workers and they can find recipes which you can use to upgrade armor and stuff. Reqs to make the upgrades would range from 85-99 (just an idea still so don't take this too serious)

Some things that should come out in the bts tomorrow:

Slayer dungeon - Supposed to be magic based (not sure if the monsters attack with magic or you are supposed to), will have a mage armor with high defense stats as reward/drop.

New quest in November, fully voiced but with low skill reqs

Homepage is getting an update in November as well

Umm I'm probably missing some things, just mentioning what I can remember from memory.

Edit: Oh yeah, Kalphite King and Queen Black Dragon is also being worked on

Its amazing how much people supported their clans aswell.

The amount of like 'business cards' i got given by people advertising to join their clans, or fancy pens with pull out messages. Like 1/10 people were handing stuff out lol.

And damn, cant believe i missed Runescape 2012. Seems like it was an interesting session

Oh remembered a couple more updates:

Tzhaar graphics and possibly a new fight cave with a harder version of Jad (he even mentioned that the entrance fee might be a fire cape) and a new tzhaar quest

Return of bounty hunter in a new way.

Hope the new quest doesnt involve getting a firecape...

Because that would mean Lin will never wear her qcape again.. lawl.

yeah as in new monsters lol

And runescape olympics as well I just realized, with runescape versions of olympic sports (held at the same time as the ones in London)
